How to Reset a Tripped Circuit Breaker or Fix a Blown Fuse
You may come across a problem where all or some of the lights in your house aren’t working and you don’t know what to do. Here is a useful tip on how to fix a circuit that keeps tripping. First thing to do is to locate the fuse box in your house.
Use your torch to locate the consumer unit or fuse board . When you find it the problem will be very obvious-you will find that the circuit breaker to the affected area of the house is in the off position (which is usually down)-and may be the only one in that position. Reset the circuit breaker by switching it on (which is usually up) make sure that the switch stays in the on position. If you have reset the circuit breaker and still there is no power or if the switch does not stay in the on position and remains down then you will need to contact a qualified electrician to sort out the problem
